Your Lodge Experience Matters to Us

We aim for superior guest and lodge experience. Our team is committed to making your stay comfortable, relaxing and one to remember. As you plan your stay, it would be our pleasure to speak with you about special requests and answer any questions you may have. And you can be certain that one of these genuine smiles will be there to greet you upon arrival.

One of the most relaxing and enjoyable places I’ve stayed in quite a long time. I was so pleasantly surprised by the ambience and character of the lodge and the landscaping, not to mention the knockout view! Paula, Shannon and Eric were friendly, helpful and engaging making the experience a pleasure from start to check out. I will be back. Thanks!

Eric Campbell

In 2011, Brush Mountain Lodge became more than just a home to Eric as he opened the doors to all those who wished to enjoy a lodge experience for an evening or few in the serene beauty in and around the luxurious timber framed three story inn. Leaving his traditional day job behind, Eric looks forward to corresponding with guests and assisting with plans that create lasting memories. During your stay, Eric will be available to answer questions and – should you be holding an event – assist with making your event as flawless as possible.

Lodge experience experts

Shannon
Paula

These two ladies keep the lodge running smoothly and guests content. Sharing responsibilities, Shannon or Paula will happily greet you at the door upon arrival. You’ll be guided through the Lodge’s many grand spaces while they point out the many amenities on the way to your relaxing suite. Should you be interested in adding a catered breakfast to your lodge experience, you’ll wake to the aroma of gourmet, locally sourced goodness made just the way you like it and served with a cheery and welcoming “Good Morning,” which is sure to start any day off right.

As Penn Valley natives, Shannon and Paula are also experts in what makes the area so special. They’re often found sharing details of local attractions with guests upon arrival or over a catered breakfast. They’ll also do a midweek “refresh” on the lodge, cleaning linens and tidying up – should that be arranged as an add on.

MEETING & Event Planning Services

If you’d like assistance planning your meeting, event or wedding, Erica Thumma of Freewheel Creative is available to make your lodge experience the best it could possibly be. A former marketing manager at a software company, Erica managed their yearly 3-day customer conference designing and creating content for invites, registration forms, email campaigns, badges, conference books, powerpoint templates, signage and more. She worked with department heads to plan sessions and conference schedules. Working within budgets, she also designed menus, networking events both on and off-site, procured speaker gifts, and coordinated travel plans, among other things. She’ll ensure your meeting is professional and goes off without a hitch.

Erica and her husband held their wedding at Brush Mountain Lodge. An intimate affair with 60 guests, she had her hand in every aspect of the evening from the invitation design to the catering menu, and the decorations to the furniture and bar rental. Knowing what an important day it is with memories that last a lifetime, Erica will make sure your wedding is everything you imagined it would be and more.

about the lodge

Perched high above Penns Valley in central Pennsylvania, Brush Mountain Lodge is a quiet retreat nestled in the serene beauty of the tree tops with five mile views. Prior to its life as Brush Mountain Lodge, it was known as “Inn On The Sky”, a name it wore with pride from 2004 until 2011. The previous owner and architect of the lodge designed the B&B with meticulous detail. Even the beds were created to match the style of the lodge.

Holding beautiful memories, today the Lodge runs as a rental. The lodge welcomes couples looking for a romantic get away, friends attending Penn State Football games, and visitors from all over the world in town for work events. Families return year after year for get togethers and many couples know it as the special place they shared vows and hosted their 70+ wedding guests.

The warmth and coziness of Brush Mountain Lodge is eager to welcome you, as well.
